More information : An ornamented wheel-head cross, 3ft 3ins high, stands in the churchyard of St Hilary (SW 550312) at an angle of the path near the S porch. (1) The cross was discovered in the latter part of the last century serving as a stepping stone for a stile in a field called Cross Close at Treverbyn. It once marked the old path to the church and also perhaps the glebe boundary. (2) The wheel head cross stands at SW 55033128 on the east side of the main path near the south porch. It is 1.0 metre high; one face has a latin cross in relief and the other is too badly worn to identify any carving. (3)
