Summary : The ruined remains of Samlesbury Lower Hall, built circa 1625 to replace the original hall. Only the front wall of the house survives. Now incorporated into loose boxes.
More information : SD 59693149 Samlesbury Hall (Lower) (NR) (1) A two storeyed hall, built around 1625 (3), and now in ruins. A modern farmhouse has been erected close to its south side. Up until about 1816 there was a chapel, dedicated to St Chad, at the hall. (2-3) SD 59613152. The remains, not outstanding, are as described. See photograph. (4)
