Summary : 13th Century parish church with 14th to 15th Century additions. The nave and chancel in one, with lower roof level to the chancel and south transept of 13th century. North aisle added in 15th century, with south porch and west tower. The tower was rebuilt in 1879. It was originally given by the Cardinham family to Glansey College in 1276, and rededicated in 1336.
More information : (SW 86826130) St Colan's Church (Vicarage) (NAT) (1) The church of St. Colan was given by the Cardinham family to Glasney College (SW 73 SE 5), in 1276 and rededicated in 1336. The fabric shows traces of a 13th century cruciform building which was enlarged in the 15th century. The 15th century square tower was rebuilt in 1879. (2,3) The church is 13th century in date with 14th and 15th century additions. The Tower was rebuilt in 1879 with Incorporated Society for Building and Churches board dated 1881. (4)
