More information : (SW 98494568) Beacon Cross (NR). (1) A mutilated wheel-headed cross, with shaft but no base, stands at the top of the hedge at Beacon Cross. It is 3 ft 4 inches in height and at one time stood on the opposite side of the road but has occupied its present position for many years. Langdon refers to it as the "Corran Cross". (2) A wheel-headed cross, consisting of a shaft 1.0m in length but with no base, stands on top of the hedgebank on the east side of the road at Beacon Cross. Langdon's name 'Corran Cross' could not be confirmed. Revised at 1:2500 on AO Model. (3)
