More information : A restored wheel-headed, four holed cross stands in St Michael's churchyard between the W entrance to the churchyard and the SW corner of the church (SX 08057886). It is the old churchyard cross which was at some time taken down and was later discovered serving as the bottom step of a flight leading up to the church. It was set up in its present position in 1883. (1-3) SX 08067885, The cross, 3.4 metres high with an 0.5 metre diameter head, is set in a 1.1 metre square modern rough hewn base. Well preserved, the head now cemented to the shaft. Position correct on 1:2500. (4) Churchyard cross, Grade 2. (5)
