Summary : 13th century church, enlarged during the 13th century, restored in 1826 and 1870. Nave and chancel possibly with 13th century origins with 4 bay north aisle and 5-bay south aisle added in 15th century. Circa 15th century south porch and west tower.
More information : (SX 08067886) St. Michael's Church (NAT) (1) The church of Saint Michael, mentioned in 1400, is now mainly 15th century, badly restored. An alleged 'anchorite's cell' on the north side of the chancel is thought to date actually from about 1876. (2,3) 13th century church, enlarged in 15th century, restored in 1826, in 1870-1889 by Messers Hine and Odgers and in 1982. Listed Grade I. (4)
