Summary : Tram reversing triangle, no longer in situ. Former terminus of the Darwen steam tram system, built in 1881.

constructed as the terminus of the Darwen tram system. The
triangle has been preserved and laid out by the local authority.
A plaque records its construction in 1881 apparently the first
such arrangement to be authorised by Parliament. (1)
