Summary : Tram reversing triangle, no longer in situ. Former terminus of the Darwen steam tram system, built in 1881.
More information : SD 697205 Steam tramway reversing triangle constructed as the terminus of the Darwen tram system. The triangle has been preserved and laid out by the local authority. A plaque records its construction in 1881 apparently the first such arrangement to be authorised by Parliament. (1) SD 697 205. Steam tramway reversing triangle. Scheduled No LA/183. (2)
