Summary : A bowl barrow situated on the summit of a hill overlooking the valley of a tributary to the River Wolf. The barrow survives as a slightly oval 1.9 metre high mound which measures 26.8 metres lonf from east to west and 24.3 metres from north to south. A hollow in the centre suggests partial excavation. The surrounding ditch from which material to construct the mound was derived is preserved as a buried feature 3.5 metres wide. Scheduled.

Yeworthy Barrow. (2)

Yeworthy Barrow is overgrown with furze, has a diameter of 33
yards and a height of 5 1/2 ft. A trench has been cut from the
S side to the excavated centre and there is another pit on the
NE side. (3)

A barrow on the NW of Higher Eworthy. (4)

A flat topped bowl barrow, much despoiled. The trench and pit
mentioned by Martin are visible also slight traces of an
irregular but possibly not original surrounding ditch. (5)

A mutilated bowl barrow 27.5 metres in diameter and up to
1.5 metres high.
It is still known as Yeworth Barrow (2) although the local spelling is Eworthy (a).
