Summary : A small cairn of diameter 4.3m and height 0.3m containing the remains of a cist. This cist measures 1.6m by 0.9m externally, 1.0m by 0.6m internally and has a depth of 0.6m. It consists of two sidestones. one endstone and a displaced coverstone measuring 1.8m by 0.9m. It is orientated east-west.

A cist contained within a small barrow or cairn. The cist
consists of two side stones, an end stone and a displaced
coverstone. (Plan). (2)

At SX 58036928, on the southern slope of Down Tor at 335.0m OD,
is a small cairn of diameter 4.3m and height 0.3m containing the
remains of a cist. This cist measures 1.6m by 0.9m externally,
1.0m by 0.6m internally and has a depth of 0.6m. It consists of
two sidestones. one endstone and a displaced coverstone measuring
1.8m by 0.9m it is orientated east-west.

Surveyed at 1:10 000 on PFD. (3)

On a shelf below the Tor rocks are the remains of a small cairn 4m by 0.3m surrounding a cist. Two sides and an end stone remain and the large cover slab has been displaced downhill. It has been dug into from the west side and flat slabs piled near the open end of the cist are probably from an encircling ring (4)

The centre of the mound has been partially excavated to reveal a cist oriented east to west. The capstonewhich measure 1.8m by 0.9m, has been displaced and now lies a short distance south of the cist (5)

well preserved. Surveyed at 1:2500 (6)
