More information : (SX 69686509) Standing Stone (NR) (1) The Harbourne Head menhir is situated about 500 feet west of the head of the Hardbourne stream. It stands 8 feet 1 inch high and its width at ground level is 3 feet 7 inches. The stone leans considerably to the west, and its profile is triangular. (2) A slab of moorland granite leaning about 10o out of the vertical, standing in a slight depression probably worn by cattle using it as a rubbing post. It is 2.40m in length and 1.0m by 0.3m at its base tapering to 0.3m by 0.15m. (3)
