Summary : Bronze Age cairn and cist. The cairn is 6m in diameter and 0.4m high, with a possible kerb. The cist is 1.3m long, 0.7m wide and 0.4m deep. The Bronze Age cairn, recorded by previous authorities, is visible as an earthwork on Environment Agency 1m Lidar data flown in 2019 and 2021 Historic England orthomosaic aerial photography. The site was mapped from aerial sources in 2023 during the Historic England Dartmoor-Plym project.

A cist lying on the south bank of the Langcombe Brook, some 100 yards southwest of'Grim's Grave'(SX 66 NW 33). Two side-stones and the western end-stone are in place; the eastern end stone has either been removed, or has fallen out of upright. Length of cist 27 inches, width 22 inches (both internal dimensions). The cover stone's greatest length is 4ft 7 inches, greatest width 3ft 6 ins. A low cairn, surrounds the cist, margined by the remains of a retaining circle, some 16 to 18 feet in internal diameter. (2)
A largely heather-covered cairn 7.0m. in diameter and 0.5m. in height is situated on a north slope at 435m. OD. There is no retaining circle but stone is exposed on the east side of the perimeter near the off-centre cist.
This would seem to conform to Worth's plan but the cover-stone,
1.0m. by 1.3m. has been replaced over the cist.

Two stones in the southern endof the mound could be mapped from the aerial sources. The cairn mound measures approximately 11.2m by 8.8m on plan. Scheduled monument NHLE 1012282. (5-6)
