More information :

(SX 61246630) Cist (NR) (1)

A cist lying on the south bank of the Langcombe Brook, some 100 yards southwest of'Grim's Grave'(SX 66 NW 33). Two side-stones and the western end-stone are in place; the eastern end stone has either been removed, or has fallen out of upright. Length of cist 27 inches, width 22 inches (both internal dimensions). The cover stone's greatest length is 4ft 7 inches, greatest width 3ft 6 ins. A low cairn, surrounds the cist, margined by the remains of a retaining circle, some 16 to 18 feet in internal diameter. (2)

A largely heather-covered cairn 7.0m. in diameter and 0.5m. in height is situated on a north slope at 435m. OD. There is no retaining circle but stone is exposed on the east side of the perimeter near the off-centre cist.

This would seem to conform to Worth's plan but the cover-stone,
1.0m. by 1.3m. has been replaced over the cist.

Surveyed at 1:10 000 on PFD. (3)
