More information : (SX 60876612) Cist (NR) (1) A cist, lying a little over 590 yds south west of Grim's Grave (SX 66 NW 33) at the head of a gully which runs down to the Langcombe Brook. The two sides and the south end stone are in place and the cover stone rests in part over the cist. The length of the cist was probably three feet, width eigthteen inches at the centre of its length, and a present depth of thirteen inches. The cover stone is five feet in length, with a greatest width of just over three feet. The cist stands in a mound of sixteen feet diameter. (2) A slight flat topped turf covered mound of stone and earth measuring 5.3m in diameter and 0.2m in height, situated on a gentle north east slope at 440m OD. There is a centrally placed cist within the mound as planned by Worth with a coverstone. Surveyed at 1:10000 on PFD. (3)
