Summary : The site of Roman turret 6B, part of the defences on Hadrian's Wall. It was discovered in 1751, there are no visible remains.
More information : NZ 2129 6491. The site of turret 6b, discovered in 1751, is 308 yds beyond the fort (Benwell) just before Two Ball Lonnen, the wide road on the north. (1) All trace of the turret has been obliterated by modern development. (2) NZ 2129 6491. Hadrian's Wall, Vallum and associated works. Scheduled no. TW/28. (3) Located on the English Heritage map of Hadrian's Wall 2010. (4)
