More information : TQ 7626 7325 Medieval or Post Medieval wood banks, defining the edges of former areas of woodland on Deangate Ridge, are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs and have been mapped as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project. The southern parts of Sixteen Acre Wood, at TQ 7626 7325, and the north and west sides of Six Acre Wood, at TQ 7652 7335, survived as slight banks within Lodge Hill Armaments Depot (Monument 1077634) after the trees were removed to make way for the magazines.
