More information : SE 1881 9842: Hipswell Hall [LB] Chapel[LB] (Site of) (1) Hipswell Hall, a 15th century stone built manor house, with 16th century alterations and additions, now a farmhouse. (2) Hipswell Hall, with a date stone of 1596, is a good example of its period. See photograph. A superficial platform at SE 1887 9852, 24 metres x 14 metres orientated east to west is probably the site of the chapel. (3) Hipswell Hall, dated 1596 but largely 15th century. Grade 1. (4)
A 15th century stone-built manor house, altered in the 16th century and extended circa 1917. Possibly part of a fortified house originally, now a farmhouse. Two storeyed, with a three storey tower porch. Listed Grade I. (5)
