Summary : An E-plan house, probably built in the 16th century, the building may originally have been timber-framed in part or in whole but it was largely bricked up in the 18th and 19th centuries. It is difficult to determine the original plan of the house as it has been obsured by later alterations and though the building incorporates a certain amout of early 17th century decorative detail it seems likely that some of this has been re-arranged. The buildings present for substantially that given in the second quarter of the 19th century. |
