More information : (SE 23758770) Cowling Hall (NAT) (1) A two-storey five window mid-18th century house; adjoining at the N end is a one window section divided into three storeys, a survival from the early 17th century, all under one roof. Grade I. An oblong two-storey "outbuilding" lies westwards from the house abutting the N. end. The half nearest the Hall is from the late 12th century; the remainder 17th century. Grade I. (2) Cowling Hall, in use as a private residence, is as described and a good example of the period. The outbuilding, however, is not outstanding. See photographs. (3)
