Summary : Clock tower, 1835 by T Smith. Square in plan, it is constructed from yellow stock brick with stucco dressings and comprises three diminishing stages, a moulded floor band and a cornice. To the middle stage there are louvred belfry openings in recessed panels whist the top stage hosues the four clock faces, those on the east and west faces are original. To the flattened pyramid copper roof there is a stone palmette finial. The clock tower is built on the site of a medieval belfry tower.
