Skewkirk Hall was rebuilt in the 16th.century using material from a monastic cell, for canons of Nostell Priory, which had been founded on the site temp. Henry I. (2-3)
The present Hall is an entirely 18th c. brick built residence, and the only visible evidence of re-used material is a small, single light, arched window rebuilt into the south wall of adjacent buidings.See G.Ps. AO/63/116/3 & 4 for south-east and western aspects of the Hall respectively. (4)
