Castle Hill, Cusworth, is an isolated motte, 16ft. high and measuring 60ft by 70ft. on the oval top. The ditch, about 20 ft. wide, has been filled on the east. The counterscarp bank remains on the north side. (2)
Published survey (25") revised. The motte is now completely overgrown. There is no evidence of a bailey. (3)

Part of the circumference of the ditch surrounding the motte is visible as an earthwork on air photographs. It measures 5m across and has an internal diameter of c.36m. The motte is centred at SE 5418 0333. (6)
