Summary : Scot Gate Ash Sandtone Quarries, situated on the north side of the Nidd Valley above Pateley Bridge. Quarrying ion the site is thought to date from the late 18th century, although the major works date from 1870-1915. The remains are impressive with the particularly striking survival of an incline, drum house, manager's house and reservoir. There is evidence of earlier working to the immediate north-west of the reservoir, and on Wath Lane.
