Summary : A canal bridge of 1814-8 date spanning the Pocklington Canal.
More information : SE 758483 (Incorrect grid reference). A beautifully
curved and buttressed canal bridge, known as Church Bridge, over
the Pocklington Canal at Thornton, was built between 1814 and 1818.
(Church Bridge, over the canal, is shown at SE 75854441 on
OS 1:10 000 1977). Recommended as Gde II. (1)
