SE 713 439. Moated site S of Storwood. Scheduled No HU/156. (5)
The moated enclosure described by the previous authorities was seen as an earthwork on air photographs. There is another moated enclosure to the west. On the levelled interior of the main enclosure there is some evidence of possible buildings. The site has recently been surveyed by the Humber Wetlands Project. The computer generated model of the survey confirmed the possibility of buildings in the main enclosure. (6-6a) |
