More information : SE 7644 6115. Castle [L.B.] (Site of). (1)
At Leppington is a flattened hillock with some appearances of outwork and traditions of a former castle. (2)
The site has the appearance of a moated platform rather than the remains of a castle mound. It is not wholly defensive in character, and probably represents the remains of a moated manor house. The supposed "outwork" is a boundary bank to ridge and furrow on the SE. Some hummocky ground in the immediate vicinity to the North, suggests former depopulation, and though no intelligible pattern is apparent, the complex as a whole appears to have been a manorial site.
