Medieval ridge and furrow is visible as earthworks in the township of Arthington for SE 24 NE. Of particular interest are several fields of ridge and furrow associated with an 11th century priory complex (SE 24 NE 4 and SE 24 NE 24). The latest (1986) vertical photography indicates that these fields remain extant.
