The area has produced worked flints, Romano British and Medieval material between 1970 -5. flint scrapers, cores, a serrated blade, leaf-shaped and barbed and tanged arrowheads, a plano-convex knife frag. and a hammerstone are in Scunthorpe Museum, acc. code SW AF. Romano-British tile, a 4th cent. coin, and limestone architectural frags. are noted from SE 97330538, and RB, Med and PM pottery, and an enamelled bronze disc and trapezoidal perforated bronze sheet frag. are in Scunthorpe Museum, acc. codes SW AG and AD.
