More information : Blocks of medieval and/or post medieval ridge and furrow together with a trackway, boundary, pond and field boundaries or drains are visible as earthworks and cropmarks on historic and recent air photos in the parish of Hutton Conyers. These features are located on the northern and eastern side of the site of Hutton Hall (UID 53792). A long boundary runs from the eastern side of the hall complex eastward then northward and is visible over a distance of approximately 375m. It intercepts a pond at SE 3266 7361. A little to the south a broad double-ditched trackway runs from the modern road towards an area of potential settlements remain in the Hutton Hall complex. Other ditches in the area may be field boundaries or drains. Most of these features appear to have been levelled on the most recent air photos but the ridge and furrow at SE3238 7362 appears to survive as earthworks and elements that run into the Hutton Hall complex are also better preserved.
