Summary : A Second World War dispersed sick quarters for RAF Babdown Farm RLG (Relief Landing Ground) (Monument Number 138356) is visible on aerial photographs and was located east of Beverston Old Brake. The dispersed site comprised a military hospital, blast shelter as well as other associated military buildings. Only two buildings were still visible on aerial photographs taken in 1972 but the whole site was cleared and all the buildings demolished on aerial photographs taken in 1992
More information : A Second World War dispersed sick quarters for RAF Babdown Farm RLG (Relief Landing Ground) (Monument Number 138356) is visible on aerial photographs and has been mapped as part of The Cotswold Hills NMP survey. The sick quarters was located east of Beverston Old Brake and centred at ST 8574 9433. The dispersed site comprised a military hospital, blast shelter as well as other associated military buildings. Only two buildings were still visible on aerial photographs taken in 1972 but the whole site was cleared and all the buildings demolished on aerial photographs taken in 1992. (1-3)
