Castle Cottages. The house is early C16th, probably built by one of the Thomas Atwoods (father or son), and at that time was known as Corpsons. In the C18th it was known as Church End. Full description. (2)
Castle Cottages. The present two storey and attic, probably early C16th building on the site of the original Studley Castle, is now divided into tenements, of which the S and E parts are of little interest. The NW wing is a good example of timber-framing, being mainly of close-set studding with a number of gable heads having herringbone or curved-strut frames. Grade II*. (3)
