The barrow is defined by a circular ditch, with traces of a mound at its centre. A single round pit is visible to the north of the barrow's outer ditch. The barrow is part of the extensive barrow cemetery known as the Knowlton Circles Barrow Group. |
| More information : SU 0252 1037. A Bronze Age round barrow is visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs and has been mapped by EH's Knowlton Circles Project. The barrow is defined by a single incomplete ditch 16.5m in diameter, with traces of a sub-circular mound 6.5m in diameter at its centre. A single round pit is visible 4.5m to the north of the barrow's outer ditch. The features are part of the extensive barrow cemetery known as the Knowlton Circles Barrow Group (SU 01 SW 43, SU 01 SW 105). (1-2) |
