Summary : Bronze Age bowl barrow surviving as an earthwork.
More information : (SJ 653694) Tumulus (NR) (1) SJ 65336939 (2). A large tumulus on the highest point of the ridge running parallel to the Weever (3). The possible site was sandier than the rest of the field when investigated in 1972. A water tower stood here (SJ 65356941 Water Tower OS 25" 1898) until about twenty years ago (2). (2-3) SJ 6534 6940. Bowl barrow 160m NE of Moultonbank Farm. Scheduled RSM No 22596. A bowl barrow located on the summit of a glacial mound. It has an earthen mound 35m in diameter and up to 1.5m high. (4)
