Cropmarks indicating the possible site of a Ro villa. (2)
Under crop. Surface disturbance is evident and a pile of stones at the side of the field contains what is probably Ro tile. (3)
Large enclosure centred TL 10469782, covering 5 acres and bounded on the west, north and east by straight ditches, and on the south by the old course of the River Nene. Within it air photographs show indistinct traces of what may be three sides of a courtyard villa, and also two small enclosures in the SE corner. It is probable that the southern half of the site has been destroyed by the river. (4)
(7) RING DITCH (?) (TL 10389785) (Fig. 5) in the extreme S.W. of the parish, 100 yds. N. of R. Nene and within enclosure of probable villa (17). Rather irregular, diam. 45 ft. 50 ft. (C.U.A.P.; R.A.F. Vertical Air Photographs F22/58/RAF/5164: 0149.) (5)
