A parish church built in 1794 by William Dudley, possibly re-using older masonry for the nave. In the late 19th or early 20th century a vestry was added. It was constructed of local grey sandstone. The chancel was built of hand-moulded bricks and the roof is tiled. The plan consists of a nave with a lower and narrower chancel, a north vestry, a west porch and a west bellcote. Inside the church is plastered. An alabaster font is dated to 1933. Most of the furniture is from the earlier 20th century. A stained glass window from the early 20th century made by William Pearce depicts the Good Shepherd. The church was listed as Grade B on 15th January 1968. It was re-graded to Grade II on 22nd March 2010. (7) |
