More information : The name of the deserted medieval village of Yarlet survives in the hall (Yarlet Hall named at SJ 913293 on OS 1:10000 1982). The villagehad eight households in 1086 and was probably depopulated temp Henry II (1154-89) (1) Yarlet Hall may stand on the site of the medieval hall but there are no obvious earthworks to indicate the village site. (2)
