Summary : A possible gun emplacement or light anti aircraft battery of the Second World War, located just within the western gate of Lodge Hill Ordnance Depot (Monument 1077634), is visible on aerial photographs taken in the 1940s and 1950s and has been mapped as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project. The site comprises a roughly square earthwork about 11m by 10m, with a path or track providing access to a weapons pit or gun mounting point at its centre.
