The Medieval moat, described by the previous authorities, was visible as earthworks and mapped from poor quality air photographs. It is centred at TF 3757 9013, and forms a 60m by 45m ditched enclosure, with an entrance on its eastern side. No evidence of the hall associated with the moat was visible on air photographs. Village settlement surrounding the moat is recorded in TF 39 SE 25. (Morph No. LI.229.1.5)
