More information : (SO 4019 5149) Marbrook House [NAT] [see map, authority 2, p198]. (1)
2 storey house, timber-framed with slate covered roofs. It was built probably in the C14 with a central hall and cross-wings at the N and S ends; the N wing survives but the hall and S wing, now under 1 roof, seem to have been reconstructed at a later period. Projecting W from the house is a long, timber-framed building, perhaps of the C16. (2)
