Summary : A Bronze Age bell barrow, listed by Grinsell as Milton Lilbourne 2, which may be part of a triple barrow together with Lilton Lilbourne 3 and 4 (SU 15 NE 100 and 101 respectively). Beaker pottery has been found on the mound. Excavations in 1958 failed to locate an interment. The barrow appears to have been re-used in more recent times as a rabbit warren. |

SU 19995789: Milton Lilbourne, a bell barrow with outer banks conjoined with Milton Lilbourne 3 and Milton Lilbourne 4. It clearly began as a bell barrow which was subsequently conjoined with Milton Lilbourne 4 by the small bowl barrow Milton Lilbourne 5. Indications that the barrow was used as a rabbit warren is indicated by the presence of a pit and an iron gin trap. Excavations in 1958 did not locate a central burial. (3)
