Summary : Steam-powered fireproof flax-spinning mill of four storyes and eighteen bays built in the early 1830s. A warehouse ans single-storeyed weaving shed were added shortly after 1850. After the early 1860s the mill was used mainly for linen and woollen manufacture. The shed was enlarged in 1884 to designs of J M Fawcett of Leeds. Part of the site has been demolished.
