Summary : An enclosure, boundary bank and boundary ditch of possible prehistoric/ Roman date are visible as earthworks on air photographs. The enclosure is defined by a bank for part of the circuit and a ditch for another part. It is aligned on a boundary bank with a ditch flanking it for part of its length. This bank is visible for a short distance to the north of the Stanegate so may pre-date the Roman road.
