Summary : The site of the Church of Saint Leonard, which fell into disuse after 1484, and was cleared circa 1810 to make way for a windmill. The buildings file for this monument has been missing from the archive since November 1998.
More information : The church probably fell into decay soon after 1484. The eventual ruins were removed c. 1810 to make for a windmill. This post mill was restored (although without sails) but destroyed in the hurricane of 1987. (1-2) (TQ 901175) windmill (disused). Site of St Leonard's Church. (3) No trace of St. Leonards Church. Post Mill restored but without sails. See ground photograph. (4) St Leonards Winmill. Grade II Listed building. (5)
