Summary : Dismantled railway from Fairford to Oxford via the Oxford and Birmingham line at Wolvercot. Completed 1873 by the East Gloucestershire and Witney Railway Company. Closed 1962.
More information : A branch railway line from Oxford to Fairford via Yarnton was opened by the Great Western railway, the length from Yarnton to Fairford was closed in 1962. (1-2) The construction of the 14 miles of railway between Witney and Fairford were completed in 1873 by the East Gloucestershire and Witney Railway. It was absorbed into the Great Western Railway in 1890. (3)
