Summary : A Roman milestone that was found in 1732 at Naworth gardens, according to Horsley, is identical to one seen by Camden and found on the military way not far from Carlisle.
More information : [Marginal] In 1732, Horsley 1. said that an inscribed Roman
milestone at Naworth Garden [Naworth Castle NY 5662] was the
identical one seen by Camden 2. at Thursly, and stated by him to
have been found on the military way not far from Old Carlisle. (1)(2)
