Full description

IRON AGE, ?SAXON & MEDIEVAL POTTERY; ALSO C18 CLAY PIPE & A GLASS BEAD & STONE RUBBERS FROM BANK MATERIAL - MOSTLY FROM AREA SCRAPED IN 1973. NOT STRATIFIED, & DOES NOT HELP IN DATING EARTHWORK (B7; ALSO SEE B8-10). NB: BURNT GRAIN FOUND 4FT DOWN IN NEW GRAVE (1969) AT SP 6562 1389 (B7).
