Full description

1> Well St Gate (site).
2> Erected c1375, date of demolition unknown.
3> Depicted.
4> Well St Gate ('porta in vico fontis') first noted 1411. It is rectangular,
2-storeyed gateway with an embattled parapet. Removed late 18th century or early 19th century.
