Full description
A discrete group of aircraft hangarss and other military buildings at RAF Hibaldstow were shown and named on record site plans, surveyed by the Air Ministry in January 1945 :
57 M&E plinth (mechanical & electrical)
58 SAA & pyro store
59-60 Sleeping shelter
61 Blister hangar 'O' type
62 Drying room & latrines
63-64 Flight offices
65-66 Rest hut
67 Stores hut
68-69 Blister hangar 'O' type
70-72 AA gun crews huts
73 SAA & pyro store
There were also two 'AS' air raid shelters, to the north of hangars 68 and 69. [1]
There was only one indication of any of these structures on recent air photographs, accessed in 2015. The outline of hangar 69 and its access track were visible within an area of rough grass. [2]
