Full description

(LF 22-Feb-2007) A cast iron milepost of hollow triangular section with chamfered front edges. The angled triangular front panel features the former parish name of Stone. The signage of the left-hand side reads Hilderstone (2 miles), Sandon (5 1/2 miles), Stafford (10 miles). The signage of the right-hand side reads Leek (13 1/2 miles). There is a crack on the top of the milepost. The milepost was manufactured by Chas-Lathe, Tipton. <1>
