Full description
(LF 6-March-2007) A cast iron milepost of hollow triangular section with chamfered front edges. The angled triangular front panel features the former parish name of Stone. The signage of the left-hand side reads Hilderstone (3 miles), Sandon (6 1/2 miles), Stafford (11 miles). The signage of the right-hand side reads Leek (12 1/2 miles). The milepost was manufactured by Chas-Lathe, Tipton. <1>
