Full description

(LF 8-March-2007) A cast iron milepost of hollow triangular section. The angled triangular front panel reads Milwich Parish. The signage of the left-hand side reads Milwich (3/4 mile), Bramshall (6 3/4 miles), Uttoxeter (9 miles). The signage of the right-hand side reads Stone (4 miles). The milepost was manufactured by Cochrane and Co., Dudley. <1>

The milepost is dated to 1893. (SB, 26-Sept-2011) <2>
