Full description

(LF 9-Mar-2007) A cast iron milepost of hollow triangular section with chamfered front edges. The angled triangular front panel features the former parish name of Bridgeford. The signage of the left hand side reads Great Bridgeford (1/2 miles), Eccleshall (4 miles), Market Drayton (15 1/2 miles), Nantwich (24 1/2 miles). The signage of the right hand side reads Stafford (3 miles). This milepost replaced an earlier milestone which is located to the right of the milepost. <1>
